Question: Hi Chris,
The camper has no MOT or tax and the battery is dead.
The pickup location is quite remote and I doubt you'd get anything big enough to carry the camper in to us, so I will probably have to replace the battery and drive it out to the car park in our village, so it will be driveable at that point, albeit illegally!
What sort of timescales are we talking?
Due to the difficulty in getting making a deal to sell the van without anyone seeing it first, I probably need it delivered to my sister in Arlesey near Hitchin (on the Herts/Beds border) so that I can get dealers to come to me there. Does that affect the quote - I didn't have a clear plan when I made my initial request and I can't remember where I put as the destination?

Yes, my quote is for a driven service, it would be on trade plates so no tax and MOT is not a problem. It will also be fully covered by my insurance.
I'm just about to board a plane to Alicante to collect a Mercedes Motorhome in exactly the same situation as yours, next Tuesday another from Switzerland. It's what I do!
To put it on a transporter will be very expensive and unnecessary.
I can deliver wherever suits you, Arlesey would be fine.
I have to switch my phone to flight mode now.

Sorry for the late reply, I was driving, I'm now at Calais having driven up from Alicante.
I'm off to Switzerland next Tuesday to collect another camper.
Would the first week in May suit you, either Tuesday 3rd or Wednesday 4th depending on flights.
I guess Turin is the nearest airport, I flew down there about five weeks ago and drove a camper back to Yorkshire.
I'm taking a boat to France the following week so it sounds like the dates suit us both.
