This has potentially opened up a whole new market for our business which we otherwise would not have explored.
I've just had confirmation from the buyer overjoyed that these items have been received in perfect condition. It took only 4 days to ship them form the UK to Canada, including getting through customs.
I've found this company to be professional and efficient throughout the process. Communication has been good and I cannot fault the service at all.

Bicycles | mikekchar | Overall positive experience, but with some caveats. We were trying to ship our bicycles in our move to Japan. They were very helpful, accommodating and prompt in dealing with us. Because bicycles are oversized, even though they were in bicycle boxes, other shippers were asking 10x what they offered. The downside is waiting for a little over a month for them to arrive and dealing with customs on the other side ourselves. On the positive side, our bicycles have apparently arrived. On the negative side, we are still trying to get them through customs. There seems to have made a mistake about which company would ultimately arrive with the bicycles and gave us the wrong contact number. This was not as problematic as you might imagine because the other company directed us to the correct one. There was also some confusion because the shipping companies are set up to deal with shipping of sold items (for which there is duty) and this is luggage that was following on (for which there is no duty). Ideally they would have sorted this out ahead of time, but it is understandable why they could not hope to understand all of the shipping/duty rules of every receiving port. They told us ahead of time that they didn't understand it, so we were forewarned. Overall positive experience and good value for the money. However, one should be prepared to put in the effort on the receiving side and expect some confusion. Response:I personally do not agree with your feedback , having tried to contact you for 6 weeks + it was only after nearly two months contact was made. Neither you or the consignee spoke any Japanese with made communication with our agents difficult , the job is now being rushed through , all of which could have been avoided had you followed our simple instructions or returned one of our 20 calls or emails over the 8 week period. We are here to help however you simply ignored us which did not help proceedings. | |

Picture | catherine_anne | So the parcels were picked up Friday, I was told it would be 1st thing in the morning. I called at 12 noon as no sign of courier to be told it would be 3pm. At 4:30 no courier, he arrived 20 mins later. One of the parcels arrived earlier than scheduled the other arrived on time. The larger parcel box is apparent damaged. We have yet to speak to son and get pictures. It’s a Christmas present and didn’t want to open it until then but I feel like it needs to be opened incase the goods are damaged. The very strange thing is that the large parcel got all the way to USA to be sent back to EMA then was sent back to USA, so it did the journey twice !! We will be in touch re parcel tomorrow once it’s been opened. I have left the boxes below for would I use the transport provider again as John who we dealt with at the shipping place was really great & extremely helpful. | |

plaster | sarahandrob-1 | I was VERY disappointed by the service provided by UK Distribution Ltd. John clearly avoided my calls and emails after the proposed delivery date had passed and I was trying to determine the ETA of the pallet.
He also quite clearly stated that he never uses such poor services as Palletways as they damage the goods in transit - however - it was Palletways who delivered the pallet !!
A terribly poor service, and attitude. I certainly will not use this company again, nor recommend it to others.
This delayed delivery (3 days late!) meant that my husband lost his work contract and lost money. I would therefore like to demand somesort of financial compensation.

The Company Director, Mr. John Boyes, refused any correspondence on the matter, and is now seeking to dissolve the company. From the word “Go”, it was amateurish, inefficient and dishonest.
Amateurish in how they used bubble-wrap, and nothing more, to create a sturdy packaging.
Inefficient, in how it took over a month to ship a parcel from the UK to Switzerland.
And dishonest in how they lied repeatedly about having done the job when they hadn’t, ended up subcontracting the job to UPS and charging me double the amount (includes the price of the bubble-warp), claiming I had to get in touch with UPS when this is what I paid them for, claiming the parcel had been lost when they had forgotten to ship it, claiming the label had fallen off when the parcel still had not been sent, hanging up on me, insulting me, refusing to pick up the phone, being constantly on answering service, claiming they would take care of things and eventually doing nothing, and it seems there will never be enough space to list them all.
Avoid At All costs.
Response:We collected your package and bubble wrapped the item at your request , it was you who didnt want to pay for the item packing in a case claiming it was too expensive. The item was sent on our fully tracked service what cant speak cant lie. When the item arrived in Switzerland you were aware import duties and taxes must be paid , however you seemed to think the more you shouted down the phone at me the more likely we were going to crumble under the pressure of your constant obcenities , we only tolerate so much and the phone was put firmly down on you because the words you used are not acceptable. Again you swore and bullied our young office junior in a desperate attempt to evade taxes , your behaviour in any warp of life is not acceptable. You got exactly what you paid for a fully tracked service with bubble wrap for your item , the delay was purely down to you trying to evade customs duties and taxes. | |
