2015 new motorhome | john.lawless | We had to get a new and motorhome from Belgium to the UK and, because it was an unregistered UK vehicle, I could only find one insurer that would give me any cover to drive it on the UK-leg home, at a premium of several hundred pounds. It is difficult to imagine how Richard could improve on the service he provided. He kept in touch for several days before I actually made the journey back and was waiting at the Port of Dovef as I arrived. If he hadn't been there, I would have been stranded, in an uninsured vehicle. Within three hours, the motorhome was delivered. A perfect job done. | |

Hymer B544 A-class | mrpwlee | I found the price reasonable but the communication fell below what i expected.
The collection was agreed for the Monday morning in Stranraer with a delivery of Monday mid to late afternoon in Devon. I then received a phone call to say that Richard was too tired after a trip to Europe the day before. I was fine with that and said I would rather everything got here in one piece both my Motorhome and Richard. We agreed that Tuesday would be the day. I left Richard alone all of Tuesday and rang him at 18:30 on the night to see if he was nearly here.
Richard was in Preston and hadn't collected my Motorhome until 3pm.
Even that wouldn't have been so bad if I would have had a telephone call at some point? When I rang him I said where are you going to sleep tonight and he said I will have to drive home wont I? He lives in Sheffield! He said when he turned up he stayed at a friends house and later texted to see if his friends keys were in my motorhome? I will leave it at that. Neither positive or Negative the Motorhome was delivered and that is what I wanted after all. If Richard could learn to communicate with his customers I think I would use him again but I was left feeling a little bit put out having to chase him. Response:Firstly I did explain to the customer I was Delayed in France to Migrant disruption in the Channel Tunnel, Secondly If I could of got to Stranraer at 9am I certainly would of done so, it takes almost 8 Hours from my nearest Station (Chesterfield) and 2pm was the earliest I could get there I did explain this Finally I certainly did intend to call the customer that I was running late but due to a flat battery on mobile which i was unable to charge up, and the fact i was nowhere near a Service station which can happen to any one I was a little late informing him. When your are traveling over long distances things happen its always a fluid situation I try to explain this to people and most understand but some Unfortunately do not, I fully understand the gentlemans frustration but we always try our very best to please keep the client updated and arrive on time . Richard. PS, if the gentleman cares take to look at all my other Feedback he will see I have (Excellent Communication) with every single other customer I have dealt with. | |
