| UNBOXED-compact/small floor cleaner | oxford1 | Bad joke or scam? They collected on time on a Thursday with delivery due on a Saturday. After we accepted their bid and arranged the collection/delivery plan the communication from them dropped off. Then no delivery on Saturday. No telephone calls/messages. Then we had an incoherent message from them via the DeliveryQuoteCompare system apparently trying to say (it was difficult to decipher) that they had tried to deliver, waited for an hour at the delivery address, left phone messages and then left. We had no message nor indication of any missed call(s) on the mobile number we gave them (which, of course, would indicate all calls) and nothing to our landline (which is manned and has an answering machine). The delivery address--where we have been for 22 years-- is wide open and fully staffed from 7:30am to midnight 7 days a week and has 50 metres of road frontage (huge windows, open doors) on a main road in the heart of the city, i.e., it's impossible to miss! If you google our postcode it literally shows our premises. In the three days between collecting our goods and the supposed first delivery attempt they never asked for any address details or clarification despite having our contact information and multiple messages from us asking them to let us know if there were any problems. Holding our goods, they demanded we pay again or no re-delivery. Finally they delivered a week later after we agreed to pay another delivery charge (we felt we had no choice as they had our goods and legal action was impractical!). They were shameless and unapolgetic to the end--apparently it was all our fault. Really? Beware! Response:if the envelope was written on the wrong address, a letter to you will not come. | |
