a sofa | aidanmurphy777 | Two absolute gentlemen delivered my behemoth of a sofa on time and for a fraction of what any big delivery company wanted. They wrapped it all in bubble wrap for a tenner to comply with their goods-in-transit insurance and have clearly taken care of it.
They were willing to help remove a fence panel to get the thing around the back and then requested to have a cloth to wipe their feet before bringing it in.
We were dubious about handing over an expensive item to "some guys off the internet" but I cannot recommend them highly enough. Response:Thank you, it's a pleasure to have a customers like you! | |
1930's Stone Fireplace | elizabetha | Although the time scale for delivery slipped slightly the important pick up was on time. This was a nightmare purchase from ebay in that it was a stone fireplace which was being dismantled and then transported 219 miles, all of this being undertaken by me at arm's length. I have a stone fireplace hence the trouble I went to to secure a similar one (so I thought). This one was absolutely huge and heavy. They did a superb job wrapping and delivering. Fridge freezer | cli5053114 | Truly terrible experience! Paid for a fridge freezer to be transported and paid extra (£15) for bubble wrap as I wanted to ensure it was well protected during transport. Their T&c's state 5-10 days for delivery completion, arranging collection and delivery was supposed to be 2-3 days notice. It took over 10 days just to collect the fridge and a further 10 days to deliver, communication was terrible and no acceptance I anyone else's schedule but their own!! I had to chase several times to arrange collection and delivery! Delivery driver showed up the first time and after much head scratching said his van was too small! (This is after I provided full dimensions of the item). Several days later a second delivery driver showed up and didn't realise I had paid for bubble wrap! After 10 minutes of debating on his mobile with the office he went to his van and grabbed a single piece of bubble wrap and attempted to cover a fridge freezer that is over 6ft tall! Yes I paid £15 for a single piece of bubble wrap and no it didn't cover the fridge properly! The delivery men then attempted to lift the fridge by hand! Bumping into everything on the way out of the building! To be honest felt sorry for the drivers as they were not provided with any equipment to complete the job! Health and safety is obviously not a priority! When the fridge freezer finally arrived it was no surprise that there were several dents and scratches. I obviously tried to contact delivery mate but no surprise that they are ignoring my calls and emails! They say they have insurance when they send quotes through but I seriously doubt they do! Avoid!! | |

The armchair arrived significantly damaged in five separate places. I contacted the company with photographs of the damage and they have ignored all my attempts to communicate with them about the matter. The fact that they are just totally ignoring my complaint shows how unprofessional they are. I hope that Delivery Mate respond to me eventually if not I shall be taking further action. Gents Vintage Wardrobe #8 | natasha_tobin | I had won an item on ebay and chose to use “Deliverymate” as they reassured me that quick and efficient collection of my item and could delivery on the date (18th July) that I required as we had arranged for this to be sent off to be painted whilst we were on Holiday. After numerous emails and calls trying to arrange collection from the shop where my items was being collection from has been an absolute nightmare. They couldn’t collect on the date they promised and tried to blame to shop, when the shop made it clear to them that collection had to be between 0900 – 5:00pm and not between 7:00-8:00pm which is the time Deliverymate wanted to collect and expected someone to be there. A further date was provided (one week after the first date) to collect all to suite deliverymate and not the customer. I made it extremely clear that we were going on Holiday for 2 weeks and that we needed this item delivered. After a number of calls and emails I asked for delivery to be on Friday 25th July and they said “we will do our best”. Delivery was then arranged for Saturday 26th July where my neighbour had to take collection as we had pre-arranged plans, got back on Sunday morning to find it wasn’t my item and they had delivered someone else item. They tried to them blame the driver for changing the tickets over and asked me to email picture of what my item looked like. They are happy to take the £100.00 I paid and to provide a disgraceful service in return. Waiting for a call today to find out where my items is and to collect this other item belonging to someone else. I have made it clear to them that delivery must be tomorrow as we go on Vacation for 2 weeks. Would never use this company again and nor would I recommend them to anyone. | |

I had won an item on Ebay and used this Delivery quote compare site all the quotes werte about the same I chose this lot as they had a tail lift because the item was heavy.After several emails to them and the last one a bit more threatening they got in contact with the seller . The seller again told them that they would need a tail lift as the item was heavey.They turned up to day with a van with no tail lift ,the seller had taken time off work to be there and was gob smacked when he saw the van ...So very poor service . and certainly wont be recommending them to anyone . BEAUTIFUL SOLID PINE JOINER MADE SIDEBOARD AND GLASS WALL UNIT DRESSER | jillthistle | After reassurances that quick and efficient collection of my item would be made directly with my (busy) vendor, I had to prompt Delivery Mate (5 days after accepting quote) to make contact with my vendor and convince them that it would be better to make arrangements sooner rather than later in order to agree a suitable date. This was eventually done but 15 minutes after collection was supposed to have been made my vendor received a text to say the item would not be collected as agreed. He was fuming having waited in for them to arrive! After giving them another chance to quickly rectify the situation (as they said their van had broken down) they contacted my vendor to say they would call him back later. The second call never came and following 2 emails from me to ask what was happening they eventually said they had been told by Delivery Quote that I had cancelled my order so they had stopped trying to find me a time slot. Delivery Quote said they must've misunderstood as they had simply asked Delivery Mate was happening with my order. Delivery Mate went on to say that if I wished to proceed with my order it would be another couple of days before they could give me any indication as to when collection and delivery could be made - this was already 10 days after the acceptance of their quote! An absolute joke of a company! All credit to Delivery Quote though as they refunded my booking fee without a fuss. Left voicemails on the number provided with no one bothering to call back. I subsequently emailed only to be told abruptly that they don't work on weekends - surely this is rather key factor to mention in the profile? 3. After over a week of delay, finally arranged a time. Gave seller a window only to be late and not meet the 2hr time window. Understand that things happen. Not sure how this was managed with the seller but seller emailed me with a livid email refusing to accept this delivery company. Waste of time all round. | |
