We are a family run courier business that is new to this site. We pride ourselves on an excellent level of customer service and we try our best to meet customers requirements and expectations. We always put forward the bet quote we can and for larger items base this on there being assistance at both locations. Being on other load sites we have received excellent feedback from the jobs we have completed. We have transported many things from small parcels, musical instruments, furniture, bicycles, car parts and antiques and other fragile goods. We look after your goods with exceptional levels of care and can do blanket wraps or packaging if required. An additional service we can offer is paying for collections in cash on your behalf and having a BACS payment option.
We are a nationwide courier service moving everything from antiques and valuables, to furniture and electrical goods. We work using online services like this, and for a large number of private customers. PLEASE READ BEFORE ACCEPTING THE BID: Please complete the details in full when accepting the job - we do require the full name and address, along with a mobile telephone number for the collection and delivery locations. Once a bid is accepted we email you to confirm the job is being booked in and all the details covering the booking. Please note that our office works Mon-Fri 9-5, and when bids are accepted, it can take up to 24 working hours before we email you the booking confirmation and invoice. Once the sales order and information email are sent, payment is due by bank transfer or Paypal in advance (please note Paypal payments do incur a fee). We text/call the opposite location for the job with a sales order number and our details and send out a reminder text message the night before collections/deliveries. The driver does call about an hour before arriving on the day and on the day you are provided with their number for direct contact. We can also leave your item in an agreed location, like a garage or porch, by prior arrangement. The drivers do work early mornings and later in the day so please advise us if the collection or delivery is required within business hours. We are not able to give time windows on flexible bookings unless you wish to pay for this service. This also applies to evening or weekend deliveries as we do charge a premium for these. A sales order sheet is used to make notes on collection/delivery about the item/s being transported. Photos may be taken for our records. If items are larger than one man can carry, assistance will always be required as we only have one person on each vehicle. Additional assistance can be employed for you job if required but this is chargeable. All items are blanket wrapped and strapped in transportation for protection but additional shrink wrap or bubble wrap services are available. If for some reason a delivery or collection is failed through no fault of ourselves, there is an additional fee for this. All jobs are insured up to £100 each so let us know should you require additional insurance and we will provide you with a quote (Mattresses are not covered on our insurance unless they are fully wrapped for transport). Insurance does not cover the cost of the courier service. For flexible bookings it can take up to 3 weeks to complete as we give the best price for the flexibility, but we do always aim to get all jobs done as quickly as possible (normally a week). Refunds for cancelled jobs are based on our cancellation policy.
We do understand that this can be lots to take in but we just want to ensure everyone is clear about everything. The business model is antiquated and inconvenient to say the least. The communication is utterly useless and verging on non-existent. You are not told in advance when your items will be collected, they contact the collection point directly leaving you guess when your items will be collected. They contact the collection point the day before collecting. This means if they are not in the next day, your items will not be collected. Likewise delivery is run by the sample model, you receive a text the day before to confirm. This service does not suitable if you work full time and need advanced notice. You are not told at the time of paying for the service that this is actually how it will work. I waited over 4 weeks for my items to be collected and delivered and when they finally did arrive, they were damage and broken. Two knocks to the wood and the bottom of one of the drawers was completely snapped off. On receiving my items and emailing to complain and ask for a refund, I was ignored and had to chase. Upon eventually response I was asked to send photo of the damage.. this I had already done in the first email. I have now sent three emails chasing a response and a refund... and still nothing. Glass Dining Table And 6 Chairs In Immaculate Condition | dzeims | I came into contact with this company by using delivery quote fixed price, which is sent out for couriers to accept at a fixed price which TFL accepted. Company was provided with the information from the ebay listing and the seller contacted them to say that that this was a job that required two people and that there wouldn’t be any assistance on the day. Apparently they failed to make a note of this on the order and have refused to accept any responsibility for this when it caused a problem. The attempted delivery took place with one driver, who was two hours late for the advised time of collection because, by his own admission, he slept in. Both myself and the seller had been in contact with the company to try and establish what was happening with the delivery. We were both frequently promised a call back, which failed to take place and the company denied any responsibility for this. They also claimed they had tried to reach the seller and failed to get through, but I spoke with the seller regularly every day this had been ongoing and never had any problem reaching him. Finally, nearly two weeks after their invoice had been paid, myself and the seller conference called TFL together, receiving what I would describe as a panicked response. We were put on hold without explanation and finally were put onto a sales manager who was very unpleasant to deal with. During our conversation, both myself and the seller found him to be obstructive and rude, repeatedly dismissing any facts we offered and hiding behind terms and conditions. We were both in agreement that the company hadn’t performed to satisfaction thus far, but his actions in our conversation have left us with a very negative impression. He presented me with a decision of pay MORE in addition to the original invoice, or apply for a refund that he suggested I wouldn’t get. He denied any responsibility for any lack of communication on his company's behalf, including being told about the details of the delivery (he tried to claim that if it wasn't recorded by them, it didn't happen and was our fault). This is unacceptable for any level of customer service. This is a real shame as when I did pay the second invoice after being held hostage by this sales manager, the delivery was quick and the deliverymen themselves (different from the first guy) were very helpful and a pleasure to deal with. Overall the experience was marred by slow communication overall, but a sales manager who both myself and the seller believe behaved disgracefully. Will not be using this company again. | |

They agreed to collect in Edinburgh on a Friday and deliver to Manchester early the following week. They didn't collect from Edinburgh until late on the following Tuesday and then deposited our item in their warehouse instead of delivering it - something we only found out by ringing the driver to ask when he anticipated arriving!
Following numerous phone calls (they never called back as they said they would) our package was eventually delivered the following Monday, a week later than agreed. No response to emails either.
I will never use them again. Response:This customer is a joke and we do not like to talk bad about them but a flexible cheap job was booked and then expected collection and delivery with a premium fixed service. Off to a rocky start communications regarding collection and delivery were not brilliant however the problem is this I paid for the items to be bubble wrapped and they were not wrapped on collection or delivery and as a result the family air loom which is a Victorian bureau and chest of draws have been damaged badly the bureau has horrendous scratches down the side and back plus two missing wheels and the chest of draws again has a scratch and the brass handles have fallen off. I have taken photographs emailed and left an answer message asking for someone to get in contact with me regarding this however both email and message have been ignored which I think is totally appalling and has upset is plus they have taken money for something they did not provide is. Bubble wrap . I would hope at least to get a response at some point as it is incredibly unprofessional and disappointing having put trust in this company to deliver the furniture to me from my fathers house in one piece and to be ignored just goes to show to defiantly avoid using this company .!!!! The bike was picked up and I was informed 2 days later. That was last Wednesday still waiting for it to be dropped off at mine. Not sure on date as not been told have spoken to them a couple of times over the phone still waiting for a drop off point. Also pick up came without the correct gear to get the bike in there van. So am a bit worried what state the bike will be in when it finally gets to me. I waited in all day on Wednesday and they did not turn
up.
I rang to ask why and was told my consignment was on a two day run and wouldn't be delivered until Thursday. They were going to check with the driver and get back to me.
They never did get back to me (I felt that was rude) so I had to chase them on the Thursday morning to confirm delivery.
A lot of chasing them was involved on my part and for the money I paid, I would expect the couriers to do the work for me.
On top of this I used their bubble wrapping service, which on the whole was good, but one of my items was a car bonnet. 3 corners had cardboard on them which worked well but one corner had no cardboard and this had poked through the bubble wrap and had the paint scraped off. I touched this up with a touch up pen but it could have been avoided with a little more cardboard on the corner. Upright antique white painted piano | jason.pacey | We accepted Thomas Francis Logistics quote because they were the cheapest and they appeared to have reasonable feedback from previous clients. Last night we took delivery of the piano we paid for them to collect, nine days after originally accepting the quote. For me this was too long and would deter me from using them again.
Furthermore, when you ask for quotes to move a piano you would expect the courier to actually be able to move the piano. This company sent one guy on his own.! Its only down to the good nature of the eBay seller, who helped load the piano into a transit van (without a tail lift) that the piano made it to us at all.
I also take pity on the driver who, due to an overloaded schedule, only made it to us at 10.30pm..!!
All in all not a great experience. Response:Dear Jason I personally spoke to you and advised you that the vehicles did not all have tail lifts and that the reason we had to collect it in the evening was so that there was someone at the collection point to assist us with the item so I do not see why this is now an issue for you. When I spoke to you I also raised the issue that there was only one person on the vehicle and at no point did you advise that this was an issue either. Like you said we were the cheapest service this is because we operate only one man on each vehicle we do however offer a two man service at an extra fee which was clearly sent to you in the terms and conditions of service but you presumably did not wish to take us up on this offer. As for the time of delivery I apologize it was late the driver was on a two day run and presumably re routed to you. If it was against your will then i will take this up with the driver however you were meant to have your delivery on Friday not Thursday so i can only presume he bumped you up the queue and again I will take this up with him as to the exact circumstances surrounding this change of route as it has clearly caused you some distress. As for the time it took us to complete the job we could have done it a week earlier but due to the time restrictions Ie - We had to collect in the evening which we provided you the service with for no extra fee we had to do it the following week which does not seem unreasonable.
