WE OPERATE A MERCEDES VITO VAN WHICH IS CAPABLE OF TRANSPORTING 2-3 MOTORBIKES OR A COUPLE OF BEDS/LARGE MATTRESSES OR 2 VERY LARGE LEATHER SOFAS (2.4 M. LONG)
- THIS IS NOT A REMOVAL VAN, NOR WAS IT INTENDED TO BE SO. I CARRY ANYTHING FROM SMALL LOADS OF ANTIQUE FURNITURE TO THE 'ODD REPTILE' AND THE USUAL eBAY
'TAT', USUALLY FOR LESS THAN WHAT MOST PEOPLE WOULD
SPEND ON FUEL ALONE FOR A SINGLE ITEM COLLECTION OR DELIVERY THEMSELVES, AND WITH JUST THE SOLITARY EXCEPTION OF THE 'GENTLEMAN' WHO BOUGHT A BATTERED OLD WARDROBE FROM A DILAPIDATED FARM BARN LAST YEAR EVERYONE APPEARS TO BE HAPPY WITH THE END RESULT...
ON OCCASIONS WHERE MY VAN/ESTATE CAR ARE TOO SMALL I
WILL HIRE IN OTHER VEHICLES, SUCH AS A 'HIGH TOP' OR
HUGE 'LUTON' VAN FOR THE WEEKEND, SO AS TO HELP OUT.

motorcycle pickup | adrian2323 | good service from this chap Response:Many thanks indeed - delighted to have been of assistance to your good self: bikes are never the easiest to deliver...
FRIDGE / FREEZER AMERICAN STYLE TWIN DOOR | wellsy0111 | Item delivered in perfect condition. Thanks. Next time you are passsing please contact me to pick up the sack barrow you lent us. Response:God only knows how you managed to get that 'monster' in your kitchen, but I am sure you had to remove the whole garden gate to get it through after the way in which we struggled to get it that far... Had I known what the item truly was my fee would have been about double what I quoted you, as I am sure that you will appreciate. Please look after the sack truck because I will be away with the wife and baby for a good few weeks yet! Many thanks indeed. Kindest regards, Mark
1970's Retro Style Sideboard | hhooops | Very helpful and kept in touch during delay in pick up Response:Thanks for the kind words. No matter how well I try to plan the day ahead a 12 hour stint always seems to end up as 14 or 15 because of traffic delays etc. Our road network resembles that of Third World nations more and more on a daily basis! I appreciate your patience. Mark
very unusual leather book coffee table | poemme777 | I couple minor misunderstandings but everything ended up well and he kept his word and delivered the merchandise in good original conditional condition. I would hire him again. Response:Many thanks indeed. I am not 'for hire' again until the middle of January '13 because the wife and our new baby won't release me until then! With kindest regards, Mark
antique glass dispay cabinet | poemme777 | I couple minor misunderstandings but everything ended up well and he kept his word and delivered the merchandise in good original conditional condition. I would hire him again. Response:I do not recall any 'misunderstandings' (apart from me being given the sellers' telephone numbers the wrong way around!), but I am glad to hear that you were happy with the service - another extremely late night finish! With kindest regards, Mark.

3 piece suite 3 seater and 2 chairs | chrisdoncaster | Good all round service, but quite surprised he turned up alone to move a 3 piece suite.
pkgs wooden flooring planks Bristol to Coventry | ahcooper | Mr Williams is extremely helpful and delivered my goods in time. He was hampered by the horrible weather and couldn't do the run on the day he had intended because of the floods - end Nov 2012. He kept having to rearrange his plans. I thoroughly recommend him. Response:Thank you for your very kind words, Ms Cooper, but I actually DID complete this delivery on the intended 'day' - or rather, at around 4 am that night, after a whole series of detours - thankfully, it finally stopped raining by the time that I reached Coventry! I sincerely trust that the flooring firm people are true to their word and proceed to issue you a prompt refund for your unwanted wood. With kindest regards, Mark. P.S. Mother and baby are both doing just fine - and I arrived here with 12 whole hours to spare...
Flat-packed display stand- 80 components | istructe | Mark was pleasant and easy to deal with, and the goods were collected and delivered hassel free. Would definitely use this service again. Response:Lovely people to deal with - just a shame that I was so badly delayed in London, meaning that I actually earned next to nothing in profit that day - again!!
Armchair red velvet | rosalinds | Mark was very helpful and helped carry the chair inside. The seller had listed the location incorrectly but Mark honoured his original quote despite making a longer journey. He kept us informed by email and phone and was a pleasure to deal with. Thank you! Response:Typical of eBay sellers to get the completely wrong end of the country in their 'job' listing, but was a real pleasure doing business here, nevertheless... Many thanks indeed for those kind words, which more than make up for the odd 'artist' lurking out there!
Stoves 600GTF oven / grill | mrsrap | Thank you Mark - efficient, friendly and reliable - you kept me fully informed and delivered my item promptly. Response:Many thanks indeed: if only all tasks were like this and the customers and their sellers half as kind as your goodself, then this job would actually be worth doing - such a shame that it is all spoilt by those 1 in 10 rogue traders who are lurking out there...
PORTABLE COLOUR TELEVISION COMBI AND DVD PLAYER | cree78 | Very happy with service provided, found Mark personable and would definately use him again. Response:- Only too glad to have extracted your poor daughter from that mess! Glad you were pleased with my effort

1982 KAWASAKI RED/SILVER US SPECTRA 750 UK 750 GT | solaroutsideman | Good service. Response:Many thanks. A real pleasure doing business here! Mark.
Juwel Trigon 350 Aquarium, cabinet and equipment in excellent condition | bevan151 | Highly recommended and would definitely use again. Great communication, very friendly and genuinely cares about the goods being delivered. Many thanks Response:I should most probably change our site name to that of 'Glass Couriers r us' after what we have done lately - thankfully another safe delivery and happy customer - if only they were all as pleasant, helpful and grateful as this... A pleasure doing business here. Thanks again Mark.
8 double beds and 4 sofa's 2 tub chairs and various | dhdlscott | Mark and myself had various conversations and he was both helpful and flexible. Simple service and very reasonable getting furniture from Darlington to Wiltshire. Plans changed but kept us informed and wasn't an issue for us. Thank Response:Smashing people, especially at the Wiltshire end - a real pleasure to be of assistance here. Many thanks again for bearing with me during the gales! Regards, Mark.
GAZCO MANHATTAN ELECTRIC FIRE | jenkin | Good Service Response:Many thanks indeed for bearing with me - through the latest series of delays & obstacles created/sent to test us by other customers and their sellers who are inevitably late on the scene, not ready for the item to be collected, or as in this particular afternoon, deliberately send us over to a fictitious address - for which many thanks, Bill in Birmingham, who, I am sure, would love to apologise to John here - and to everyone else whose goods arrived almost an hour and a half later than I anticipated. Many thanks to you all for your very kind patience and understanding...
Pair of Italian Louis Style Arm Chairs | ladyvintage | Credit where it is indeed due.....absolutely fabulous service, fantastic communication-the courier Mark was friendly, efficient and kept us up-to date with all aspects of the delivery :)
He was punctual-even against the delights of the motorways and on arrival was keen, chatty and helpful.
Thanks given for being so reliable and trustworthy-in this day and age,it would appear that these are two attributes that are indeed few and far between.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Mark and WILL indeed use him again in the future!!! :)
Response:And what an absolutely delightful couple, may I say? People like this render even the most challenging of tasks truly enjoyable - I don't know about the poor motorways, but the seller was extremely difficult to deal with - having falsely given my customer 3 days in a row when he was supposedly unavailable - it was soon obvious to me that he was just unhappy with the final price which the goods had realised on eBay and did not want to part with these chairs: needless to say, my 'powers of persuasion' soon won him over and there was no competition or any problems after that! It was my great pleasure to be of assistance to this customer: if only everybody who used the website was so pleasant, honest, decent and trustworthy to deal with... The 1 in 10 rogues, non-payers, cheats and crooks out there who have in the past attempted to abuse our services will NO longer be tolerated by me - I shall refrain from 'naming names', but you know full well who you are - next time try Pickfords/DHL!
Smeg FAB32QO Refrigerator, Fridge Freezer, Fab Orange | chrismountford | Mark was very friendly, efficient and kept me informed of progress. Would not hesitate to use him in the future. Response:Many trhanks indeed. What delightful customers - if only the rest of them were like this nice family....
Pine sideboard | suemove | Excellent, friendly communication. Friendly and polite.
Will definitely use again
Thank you Response:MANY THANKS INDEED FOR YOUR KIND WORDS, WHICH I GREATLY APPRECIATE, AND I MOST SINCERELY HOPE TO BE OF SERVICE TO YOU AGAIN IN THE FUTURE. WITH KINDEST REGARDS, MARK.
Weston super mare to huddersfield | antsaunders1 | Mark is a professional who in my opinion runs a very competant business although my order was mot fulfilled due to an incompetant former boss i would recomend mark williams to anyone Response:The order WAS actually completed, and I am very sad to learn that the 'gentleman' concerned (who tried, behind my back, but failed to prevent me collecting the item concerned at very the last minute) is now your 'former boss' - or rather, I trust that you are able to secure gainful employment with a much more reasonable, decent, understanding employer in the not too distant future... With kindest regards, Mark.
small sideboard, boxed | taffseven7 | truly fantastic service, met my needs and my recipients with no bother and a great price, deal with confidence, highly recommended Response:What delightful people - at both ends of this 'wee job' - went a long way to restoring my faith in customers!! - If everybody out there was so nice and easy to please then this kind of work would be bliss! Many thanks once again, and I hope to be of further assistance to you at some stage in the future... With kindest regards, Mark.
ERCOL sideboard and display unit | jennyhaughey | vERY REASONABLE PRICE FOR THE JOB. uNFORTUNATELY mARK WAS AWAY ON HOLIDAY WHEN HE ACCEPTED THE JOB SO MY VENDOR WAS KEPT WAITING SOME TIME. hE WORKS INDEPENDENTLY SO NEEDS HELP WHEN COLLECTING AND DELIVERING. Very amiable chap but more punctuality required. Response:Perhaps I did not fully explain that my 'holiday' (actually belated honeymoon!) was over 2,500 miles away - any 'delay' was fully explained by me upfront and the seller did not have any problem with this... I am rather disappointed that this was not totally positive feedback - having spent half a day 'bubble wrapping' all of the glass AND wooden edges here - all that the seller had done was get his brother to take the item apart to render it carryable but NOT transportable over such an extremely long distance - God only knows what would have happened to the item in transit if I had not reacted accordingly - sorry that there is no mention of my care and the value of the 'bubble wrap' & tape donated by me...
wood and glass display cabinet | biggles54 | Mark arrived with our cabinet very well protected and in excellent condition as he had promised. He had asked me to be at home at 6 p.m. for the delivery but didn't arrive until 11 p.m. Delays happen, we understand that, but do let people know that you're running so late so that they can plan.
Overall, content with the service. Thanks Mark. Response:Extremely disappointed at the comment about delivery timescales on what was the most difficult item that I have ever carried for anybody or indeed myself, as it was almost 100% glass and had not been protected in any way by the sellers prior to my arrriving to assess the potential risk and, ultimately, collect the item, meaning that I and the seller had to spend a considerable amount of our time on not just bubble -wrapping but then trebly blanket wrapping the glass display cabinet - before it was finally tied up to a padded area of the huge Luton box van, which was the only vehicle capable of carrying it upright, meaning that the whole exercise cost me an absolute fortune in excess fuel costs for a whole day's work - purely in order to transport this item safely. We are still 50 quid 'down' on the day as a direct result of this - as the recipient is only too well aware, and at no stage was a 6pm delivery ever promised by me, it was always 'same or next day, dependent on the weather, road and traffic conditions', as he will also recall It took me 3 attempts to obtain this chap's address - and at no stage was I told that their property was wholly inaccessable to anything apart from toy cars; upon arrival the customer made numerousw attempts to prevent me tiurning around in his neighbour's front yard - without which the delivery would have had to take place a very long distance away from his house, so I turned around the 20'+ vehicle there anyway and completed the delivery at the time which it had been promised (from my previous distant London location) and left him with both the item and a small fortune in packaging material - which is yet to be returned or compensated for in any way... Never, ever again!!
Upright Fridge Freezer | babylogan | This chap seemed OK initially, but got really touchy on delivering the upright fridge freezer to Exeter. I filled in the online form with all the details asked for. It would have been easier for him if he had some help with him and not on his own to deal with such a large item. He delivered the freezer to my daughter inlaw at 11-p/m at night, and then complained that he had to negotiate three steps into the house. All of this was in the fill in form online, he should at least invest in a trolly of somekind to aid him in his deliveries.Apart from this all was OK. Response:It is extremely difficult to hire in extra help when people want stuff delivered on a 50p budget! Only 3 steps up were there?! I seem to remember passing my 'O' Level Maths exam... A trolley would have simply hindered us because of the sheer size and weight of this 'monster' item and the very tight entrance to the property: real shame that the 'man of the house' arranged to be out...Delivery slot was pre-agreed at both ends of this 'job' because of holiday traffic, so I really can not understand why people write such absolute nonsense: try Pickfords next time or hire a van yourselves and drive it 5 hours for £50! Thanks.
Plasma tv | ottopup | I can highly recommend Mark and the service he provides. He was faced with a less than friendly woman when collecting an item for me but was professional, courteous and calm throughout. Providing total peace of mind with excellent communications my item was delivered safely with care. Many thanks Mark, you'll be my first point of contact when required.
FANTASTIC ANTIQUE MIRROR LARGE GILT GESSO WOOD FRAME | martyn9964 | eventually recieved the mirror, however i can't complain as i didn't specify a deadline,we all learn, Response:I did explain that we had 'family issues' when offering to do this extremely long distance round trip job -on the basis that it was NOT urgent...MW
Shakespeare Speedboat parts, accessories Interior trim seats dash 17ft | perich | Collected goods from Darlington for the agreed quote, took them to Wales and then tried to up the quote on the pretext that they were not as described and refused to deliver them to Lowestoft. When challenged as to why they were collected in the first place if he was unhappy, he offered to deliver to Peterborough for my collection at the increased price. This was declined. Eventually he delivered to Lowestoft at 22.30hrs out of the blue with only a couple of hours notice and expected me to be there. A completely unsatisfactory transaction. Response:The goods involved were absolutely filthy and only fit for the rubbish tip - no wonder that he wouldn't take my call when we collected these items for him! Other couriers beware: This customer is an absolute disgrace - not only did he indeed fail to attend the delivery point (despite having been given plenty of prior notice, after initially telling me that 1 hour would be perfectly sufficient!) but he repeatedly failed to pay my fee until threatened with a County Court Judgement - having left both my garage and van in a terrible state with his 'crap', and then he has the audacity to write such nonsense - probably just as well that I never got to meet him in the flesh... Thank you Peter for all the filth and good riddance!
l 200 top box | avalon-1 | After waiting for about a week for the So caller Courirer to come back from Holiday he then said the Item was not as Described Be aware of this Bloke he will take you for a ride Response:This was not and is not a 'top box' (as he described it in his listing), but it is in fact an entire roof from a commercial vehicle! Thanks to the seller and ultimate recipient I was pre-warned about this guy being a total con artist, so I did not have to make a 130 mile round trip at my expense to discover the true identity of the item concerned... This customer was then offered an alternative commercial rate for us transporting a massive commercial vehicle part on his behalf, which he decided to decline. Noone asked him to wait for my return from our baby being borne, nobody stated I was 'on holiday' and nobody insisted on him using our services either. Other couriers on this and other sites are strongly advised to beware of this particularly devious and shady individual...
Halo Dining Table and chairs | annamae1 | This by far is one of the worst experiences, these were not the cheapest delivery service, I unfortunately went with them.
I believe mark is his name, I used this service to collect a dining room suite. It was booked in for a week on Sunday and assured that this would be done.
He supplies you with a phone number but never seems to answer it, he left us right up until the Sunday twelve midday to say he could no longer do it and that we could always cancel. I thought these companies are suppose to be rated on the good job they do? When I eventually got hold of him, he was extremely aggressive to me on the phone.
So let me sum this up for you,if you want to be messed around, inconvenienced and have to listen to all of his excuses and only manage to have it delivered if you're lucky when he can be bothered, then this is your guy. Needless to say, I have cancelled my delivery.
Cheers Mark, nice one. I certainly won't be recommending you to anyone! Response:An absolute pain in the proverbial from day one this 'lady' was, but I shall refrain from trading insults with her since my service is clearly 'unacceptable' and I am 'unreliable'... I never quote timescales on such distant 'jobs'; ashe is clearly on a different planet from the rest of us - and to think that I had agreed to give her a substantially discounted price! Other potentially unsuspecting couriers beware...
G Plan Mistral 3 Seater Sofa & 2 Reclining Armchairs Suite & John Lewis Cus | nomads2 | Delivery was 3 days after pickup and his dog (which travels in the back of the van with the goods) had obviously used it as a bed for two nights. It hadn't been covered and had grease marks from the bike and exercise machine which he was also carrying. Nothing was tied down in the van and he changed the delivery time and date 5 times! Response:How very bizarre to receive such comments after the delivery was made! First of all, neither my dog nor I sleep in the van and he travels up front with me -with a seat belt on! Secondly, it had been raining non-stop throughout our journey, so there were drops of rain on the end of the settee - from opening and closing the tail gate, but the surface of the aettee was covered with blankets for the entire duration of our trip - as well as the 'multi'gym' being strapped to the opposite wall of the cargo area, so it never came into contact with any of the furniture which we were carrying. Had the gym machine been 'loose', as the customer is wrongly claiming here, it would have crushed everything else which was being transported! I explained to the customer at great length that the items had been left outside their property (by their sellers) for 'ease of collection' (actually in their front garden, as I seem to recall) and the customer and I discussed the benefit of giving the furniture a good 'rub down' with a specialist cleaner while it was drying out in the sunshine but no dirt or grease mark was either obvious to myself or indeed brought to my attention during the delivery process at all, and I can only apologise if the customer believed it was going to be a same day delivery over such a long distance, as I do not recall having offered any such undertaking and believe the listing said both sides were flexible on collection and delivery timescales. The whole exercise leaves me feeling rather upset...
Edwardian Wardrobe | bluey55 | The van was very untidy and scruffy inside. I wish I'd paid more to get a careful well protected delivery. My beautiful mahogany Edwardian wardrobe had scratches on the inlaid middle front panel, right were it shows. There were four other scuffs and scratches too. I could have wept when I saw the damage. Response:This is absolutely outrageous because the item was wrapped throughout transit and delivered by myself in the exact same condition in which it had been collected from the seller's garage - as I am sure that the seller will be more than happy to confirm... It was covered in scratches because it is an old item and had been moved on several occasions! The purchaser was advised at the outset that this item would be extremely tight fit inside my little Vito van and that if it was an extremely valuable item he should consider engaging Pickfords or a similar specialist firm, but he insisted that this was an urgent consignment and wished me to transport it regardless... - How bizarre that he should both pay me in cash and with a small 'tip' if he was at all unhappy with the service which he had just been rendered!! This feedback is nothing short of a 'piss take' - and the writer should be ashamed of himself - or was he, in fact, 'bullied' into leaving this message by his 'other half' - for whom I distinctly recall that he purchased the tatty wardrobe 'blind'!!!.
