2 Bed Flat Move | bencarter | Appalling. Please save yourself money and stress and do not use these guys.
To start with they were 2 hours late. Advie, the boss, made up some excuse which was basically rubbish. He did send 4 men and 2 vans for the job after I told him the amount of furniture to move. When they arrived the guys started moving the furniture. One of the men could not walk properly so didn't do anything, one of the other guys was on the phone most of time and so I and my family moved half of the furniture ourselves.
When the vans arrived at the new house we helped unload as the guy with the funny leg was basically useless and the other guy was again on the phone most of the time. When lifting a new wardrobe into the house the guys bounced it of ever door frame brining it it, basically ruining the wardrobe. It has paint chipped off and dents all over it and it was only a few months old. I immediately took photos and sennet them to Advie. He wanted to know what I suggested and he expected me to get the wardrobe repaired then he'd decide what he'd do about it. I text Advie three times to try and get a resolution to the damage his guys had caused and he ignored my messages. I have emailed him with no reply. I now have no choice but to take him to court for my money back.
The guys he sent are not experienced home movers, they really don't know what they're doing. They are pleasant enough but I paid over £450 for the move and was expecting some professionalism and experience.
To summarise. Absolute rubbish and a huge waste of money and now extra cost replacing damaged furniture. To top it off I've had a bill from my previous landlord for repainting a communal wall after the guys damaged it moving my furniture. Response:Hi I do apologize for your bad experience. Due to to the Discrimination clause of the employment law, I could not tell the disabled driver not to drive. He has since left the job due to medical reasons. I would like to thank you for the feedback you have given. i have taken your points into consideration and have looked into the points and managed to train the staff that can to you and is an ongoing thing where we constantly train the new staff and continue updating our current staff. We have changed our phone policy from reasonable phone usage on a job to no phone use on a job. Thanks for the feedback Advie | |
