| Three seater sofa and armchair | jo-vass | I accepted quote for services to transport an ex display leather sofa set from Leicestershire to Berkshire and a second quote for removal of old sofa Collection arranged for a Friday but they did not turn up until close to 6pm - I had not appreciated or been made aware that collection and delivery would not be made in the same day - I was advised that they would be in touch to arrange delivery the following week and that goods would be moved to safe storage. Monday evening, call received to say that the van in which my goods were held overnight was stolen on the Sunday night. Was told that vehicle was loaded on the Sunday evening in preparation for early start, yet no arrangements had been made with me to accept delivery on the Monday (?). Crime reference number passed on to me, request for copies of receipts etc made and fulfilled. Fully reimbursed for costs of goods and delivery charges paid on the Thursday. Lots of apologies made. Crime happens, but loss of my goods easily avoided if collection and delivery made in the same day and less easy if goods are not stored in a vehicle. | |
