| 1 x Car / SUV: Vauxhall Zafira | k6nkm | Had my car delivered 400 miles last week by Alan. I was extremely happy with the service he provided. I changed the delivery details 4 times and had to put him off for a few days as the car wasn't ready but Alan was very understanding, patient and flexible.
Alan phoned me when he collected the car and talked me through the condition, he also sent me photos of the car when he collected it. He explained to me how to connect my phone to the car to save me reading how to do it. Due to the long distance he had to keep it overnight and assured me he would keep it safe.
He had to drop it off at a ferry terminal as it was travelling by boat to me as I live on Orkney, an island at the very top of Scotland. On his arrival the boat was cancelled and no one was there but he left the keys with a business nearby and again sent me photos of how he left it incase it got damaged on the boat.I only paid for his service once the car was dropped off which I thought showed that Alan trusts his customers well.
I got a quote from another company to deliver only 100 miles in a central location and they quoted more than Alan did for 400 miles delivering to the highlands in Scotland.
Alan is very genuine and a nice guy who goes out of his way to ensure he provides the best service and keeps your mind at rest.
I have had bad experiences in the past with buying cars without viewing them first so was unsure of doing it again but Alan's service has put confidence in me to do it again.
I recommend Alan to anyone who is looking for an honest, professional service at a reasonable price. Don't hesitate to have Alan deliver your vehicle as you won't be disappointed! There was a delay in the collection from the garage end which put him out, then the van had a fuel leak just after he collected it. He got it recovered and then collected it again after it was fixed. Nothing was too much trouble and after all the delays and backwards and forwards, he never charged me any extra, he never once moaned about it and he was only concerned that I was not getting my vehicle on time.
I will definitely use him again, I can not recommend him highly enough. He is prompt, always at the end of the phone and VERY thorough.

He carried out an inspection from his side before he started the journey ( a requirement for his insurance) Once he was on the way he sent me updates and when he arrived at destination he called me to confirm that the Van has been delivered.
