When I asked How they would like further payment I got a really strange reply of my buisness is worth half a million pounds ( I highly doubt). Which was very patronizing and an odd thing to say. I was assured my sofa would be picked up on the Saturday, this was a time sensitive delivery as my customer was going away so I needed the sofa picked up soon as possible which is what I advertised, my customer informed me that the courier didn’t turn up leaving me with two days to somehow get the sofa picked up while I was away on holiday. After emailing I got a generic email which said my delivery had been pushed back to next Saturday and that my slot had been cancelled which was not acceptable. They didn’t seem to get my customer was going away on the Wednesday and that I needed it picked up before despite calling and emailing. I called the courier to get a long winded strange conversation about why it couldn’t be picked up. And how everything was going wrong, at the end of the day I just wanted my sofa picked up and delivered as promised at a time and day that was specified, if you bid for my delivery post, and answer my questions about before I buy i expect the delivery to be completed. On the phone the guy said it wouldn’t be for 2 weeks which was even longer than the email said. You can’t promise a time to pickup and then decide to move it without telling me or my customer who took a day off work to wait in. I’ve now got a £600 sofa sat in a customers house, I have lost over £120 in business having to compensate the customer and sort a more expensive courier, im not able to get the sofa back to resell now until early October so I have idle stock sat unsold with potential customers waiting. it has been an absolute disaster and I’m so angry. | |
Ikea 'Ektorp' 2 seater sofa bed .Immaculate condition only slept on twice. | mrscgreen | Dreadful service from Matthew Lock. He promised me twice that he would pick up a sofa bed for me from Faversham in Kent to go to Newport in South Wales. Twice he let me down - saying first that the van was stuck in traffic, then that it had broken down and in the garage awaiting repair. I understand that breakdowns happen, but on both occasions no-one contacted me. I had to ring him up myself to find out what was happening. Someone was waiting at the other end for them to pick it up. They hadn't been notified on either occasion. I had no apology from him - in fact he was very rude, saying that it was his day and his evening off, that I shouldn't hassle him and that 'these things happen'. Delivery quote compare.com did try and rebook someone for me, but they weren't left with enough time to do so and as a result I lost the sale of the sofa bed on ebay. Please don't use Matthew Lock, unless you want to be let down. Very disappointed. | |

Messaged guy night before pick up, told him I would pay for item on collection, he told me I had to pay it before he collected which I then did and told him that. Then messaged to confirm time and he replied saying he would be there. I heard nothing more at all assuming all was ok until the morning when he didn’t show. Phoned them up and spoke to Mat who is one of the cheekiest cockiest guys Iv ever net. Didn’t send driver as his driver told him item was unpaid. Matt was more intrested in telling me about his position in the company and his wealth. Told me I was a liar and that I would need to wait 2 weeks on collection. Pay peanuts and get monkeys! That’s exactly what thes guys are!! | |
