First of all we paid them to collect same day (from 12PM) in London to collect which they never showed up, when asked at 6PM why they said there was the congestion charge to pay of £11 which we said we will happily pay, but that was there reason for not going to collect (even though they had the post code and details prior). Then they collected first thing Thursday morning which they did at 8AM and said they were leaving from London at 9AM to go to our offices in Sheffield which is about 3-4 hours, they arrived just before 4.00PM. This was then a continuous job on to Harrogate which we wanted them there before 4.30PM, doubtful since they got to us just before 4.00PM. They then left and said they would be there before 6.30PM which is 2 hours 30 minutes tops, it takes an hour and a half to get to Harrogate normally. Anyway the person waiting was there until 7PM only and left. The frustration was we had to always request updates from the driver or the office. When confronted about this on the phone the driver demanded the money even though the terms were payment on receipt of delivery as we never used them before and wanted to make sure the goods got there ok. He said without payment he will not deliver and would take them back with him to London. Under the pressure this is at 8PM at night i rushed to the office to get it paid, in the meantime he was telling the people who wanted the delivery that we hadn't paid him. Very unprofessional service provided, i don't think you can even call that a service provided as it was a disaster from the start all the way to the end. So the outcome of it all was we paid a premium for the worst delivery and transport service we have ever used, our customer was not happy at all with the delays and been told one thing and another. Do not use this company if you want a delivery doing properly!! Safe to say we will be claiming what we can back as compensation for time and the unprofessional service provided through deliveryquotecompare.com. | |
