We operate a fleet ranging from car to Luton vans driven by experienced drivers and leaded by experienced managers.

I was surprised that the contents of the van were not strapped/tied down, and I noticed damage to another sofa within the van (not mine). I wouldn't necessarily recommend to falimily or friends. The overall communiction was not great and I had the shop which they picked up my sofa from contact me to state that they hadn't turned up on the day they orginally communicated to them. The delivery employees were not able to speak much English which probably added to the confusion. | |

However he had provided his PAYPAL details on the invoice. As I felt this was a more secure way of dealing with this transaction, the driver for moversAtoB did not and explained that I could remove the paypal money once he had delivered. I explained that this was not the case as this money had come direct from my bank account via PAYPAL and that I could cancel it or change the payment to BACS. His initial response was to refuse to deliver the item until the payment had been paid by BACS. After a few text messages back and forth he finally delivered the item. | |
Extendable aluminium ladder | andymcc3 | Collection was erratic. They were to pick up from an empty house about three miles from ours. Three separate rendezvous were arranged; one was inconvenient (Sunday evening), the second one I waited for two hours before giving up (late afternoon/early evening) and the third one was arranged for between 4 and 6 in the afternoon - the van arrived at 7 o'clock. I have to say in mitigation that delivery was overnight. Picked up in the evening, delivered the next morning. | |
chest of drawers | leslie.scafe | We requested 2 men.Only one turned up and coerced my wife into lifting.She informed the driver that she had just had a serious operation,nevertheless she was urged to assist and became ill the following day.The driver initially claimed that the job was for one person -hence the additional cost (not true) -the job was advertized for two people.I found the driver quite discourteous with regards to my wife's health -claiming at one point that she was 'not a baby!'.In response to polite conversation he continually shouted.
I would hope Compare does not use this service again.

- Did no deliver on agreed date. Numerous phone calls made to find out where they were on delivery date, only to be told eventually that they were not coming until the next day!
- Small damage area to item on arrival Response:This was an accept booking job of £165. The driver says he was paid £170. No one called me to say the driver asked for more money. Job delivered within 2 days from acceptance from CO to PL. Judge for yourself. Instead of night delivery it was done next morning. No one called me to complain about damage. That is what insurance is for. | |
