They went out of their way to accommodate my unusual request. They were at the garage waiting for them to open to get the car, they kept me updated throughout the journey and confirmed delivery.
The price was very fair for the job and they allowed payment upon delivery, whereas others require it upfront.
I was so blown away with the quality of service I actually tipped them so they could grab a pint after the job.

Called me on the morning of the pickup to cancel and I didn't hear from him again to try and make good / find an alternative etc and i had to find someone else to do the job which was stressful. Real shame as he is a nice bloke, but wouldn't use him again after being so unreliable second time, not so much the beakdown but the lack of any plan B or follow-up. Just left me in the lurch. | |

A commitment to show up at 9am turned into 2pm which turned into late night collection of a classic car to be stored in a yard over night and delivered the next day. | Jaguar XJ-S ( Pre-HE.) | carolatrossal | We were disappointed to find damage from the straps to front and back bumper of the Jaguar. At the front the metal wire used to hoist the car on to the trailer has cut a inch long strip out of the front of the bumper and the side straps have damaged the side of the front bumper and the back one.
We told the driver but he said it could not have been him, and he had no time to talk about it and left.
The car was apparently picked up by the company first and taken to a storage facility at Leeds, then transferred to another trailer a week later.
So the damage was done either during pick up to storage or during delivery to us.
Response:Dear Customer We are extremely disappointed with the comments made. Firstly this vehicle over 40 year old, was in need of full restoration, Infact every panel on the car needed heavy restorative work. Therefore it's very unfair to blame any damage on us as the car was already in major disrepair. Ax you bought this car without viewing it's totally unfair to proportion blame on us without viewing the car yourself on collection. Secondly, this car was a non-runner. Which means if must be mechanically winched onto our truck for transport. Unfortunately damage can occur when mechanically winched, especially on very old cars where there is no tow eye. If damage as been caused by loading then we do sincerely apologise, however we do not charge extra for loading non runners and I am very disappointed by your comments knowing the condition of the vehicle in any case. | 1 x Car / SUV: Land Rover Defender | gwilymh | Several broken promises for picking the car up, then finally turned up one day but several hours late, then didn't even bring the right trailer or straps to take the car, left the car at the side of the road so completely wasted my time. Seriously unprofessional and very abusive over the phone too. Never, ever again. Response:Dear Client, You were quoted a back load 'flexible' price. Hence you were getting a going on 2 ton vehicle moved for sub £180. You must understand they are no promises or fixed days of collection, you were never 'promised' any fixed date of collection or indeed delivery. It's 'as is where is' if the truck is local (ish) it's collected. It just so happens I personally went to collect your vehicle. Please understand it was 50 miles off route but I made the journey to suffice. I spent 1 hour trying to secure your vehicle albeit 20 minutes of that was spent getting it started (this is not in our remit, however like yourself I wanted to get it loaded. I do not make an habit of travelling circa 100 miles for nothing. Your Land Rover had no hand break and would not even hold in gear. I could not safely secure any wheel straps and be 100% sure it wouldn't work loose. You failed to mention the oversized 'monster truck' style wheels and tyres fitted. I am sorry you are unsatisfied but If this vehicle had worked loose from straps (and it does happen believe me) then there was no fail safe to stop it rolling off the back. Response:The measurements that he gave was not correct. And after driving to the job. The collection said he has told the guy on the delivery it can not be moved in a lwb sprinter. So as I said they will be an extra charge for us to collect by our 7.5ton truck. Please get the measurements correct before messing people around. Thanks James | |
