Cornish based haulier, Intercounty Distribution, have been bought by Pall-Ex after its Managing Director, Nick Coombes, announced his intention to retire. Pall-Ex, founded by Dragon’s Den entrepreneur Hilary Devey, is one of the UK’s leading nationwide pallet delivery companies, specialising in express overnight deliveries.
The South West is notorious for being tricky to find experienced hauliers, Pall-Ex’s Managing Director, Adrian Russell says, “With a sound business model, 14 years’ experience as part of the network and experienced team already in place, making Intercounty part of the Pall-Ex Group provides scope to ensure that we continue to lead the pack in the South West, as well as the rest of the country.”
Nick Coombes has confirmed he will continue in his managing director capacity to oversee the business’ transition, and Intercounty Distribution staff will continue in their roles, supported by corporate staff at Pall-Ex.
