Question: Hi Are you still available to do this job? There was a bidding war that resulted in both lower quotes not wanting the job! It is collecting a 5 year old Vokswagon Polo from my parents in Linlithgow, West Lothian (collect any time from evening of Tuesday 19th December and I need it by the evening of Friday 22nd December) and bringing it to myself in Pontypridd, South Wales. You could also collect it on the Wednesday evening if that was better for you. Just to clarify (because my Dad is a worrity 77 year old) - once he hands the car over to you, the car would be covered by your insurance until you drop it off with me? ie if you were unfortunately involved in a crash, the car would be covered on your insurance? And secondly, do you need any of the vehicle's documents in order to do the delivery? I'm seeing my Dad in London the following weekend so he was planning on handing them to me in person. And finally, what do I need to do to book you? Do you want a deposit? How do you want to be paid? Insurance clarification is as soon as it's on my vehicle the car is insured by me. I don't need the vehicle documents Helen so you can handle that yourself. Payment details are to book you pay a deposit, i don't see that at all this platform receives that as a commission, all i ask is an initial £60 deposit in case for any reason the job cancels and it leaves me with no other time to book work. i hope i have answered all your questions Helen Regards Simon - (15-12-2017) Question: Wow, the website takes a pretty big cut! OK, so I pay the deposit to the £73.68 deposit to the website which I am about to do now. Do you want £60 separate to that and if so how do I pay you that? The job won't cancel - my Dad has just bought himself a shiny new Volkswagon Golf so it was a very opportune time for my car to finally blow up (spectacular white smoke on the M4) as my Dad decided to help out his little girl rather than sell the old car. My Dad wakes up early so 6 am in not a problem. I was just worried that if you had to drive up to half an hour west of Edinburgh and then drive down to just north of Cardiff in one day that was a bit much. Do it however is easiest for you. My parents need the car on the Tuesday lunchtime (my Dad has a hospital appointment and is worried about taking his new car that he is not used to yet) but it is free from Tuesday evening - so you could even collect it Tuesday evening to deliver on Thursday if that is any easier for you than collecting on the Wednesday evening/Thursday morning. Seriously - however is easiest for you.
