Hi, thank you for taking 5 minutes to check out my profile. My name is Sam and I have been in charge of our family ran removals and storage firm for 5 years now. We are Hull based but also have an office in Grimsby and York.

Between myself and our other experienced workers we have over 30 year’s experience of removals, deliveries, storage and courier work. Rest assured we have a man and a van for any job. From a few bags and boxes, a student move for example, a sofa you have won on eBay or a 6-bedroom house move.
Now for the important bit, what should you expect from us?

I guarantee they will be times we are not the cheapest bid, but I guarantee our service will make your move Easy, Stress free and maybe even fun :)

Below is why I believe we offer the best possible service in the area. Please consider the following when choosing your transporter on this site.
INSURANCE
Goods in Transit
We have £10,000.00 good in transit insurance, this covers your belongings for damages/losses etc. whilst in our care. You can extend this cover for a small fee if you think your goods are worth more than this. IMPORTANT!!!! They is a £100 excess on our policy.

Public Liability
We have £2m cover, this insurance protects you if you are hurt by us, our vehicles or equipment, it covers you if we damage your property and also in the same way it protects you from injury it also protects the public.
Employers Liability
£1m, this protects my employees like the above policy protects you and the public.
Hire & Reward
Just like a taxi service has to have special insurance to carry passengers, we need this to carry goods for payment of cash, or gifts etc. This is a legal requirement. If a van is stopped and doesn’t have this cover it is as if you have no insurance, the vehicle will be seized along with your goods.

Cancellation

We understand sometimes you need to cancel a job. A mortgage might not go through; you might change your mind about buying something etc. But often this leaves us as a company out of pocket. Our bid's on this site are very low compared to "on the street prices". To keep our cost's low, we need to minimise our losses. Bye accepting our bid you are agreeing to the terms set out in this profile.

If you cancel your job for any reason the following charges will apply. Less than 7 day’s notice, 100% of the agreed/accepted bid.

7-10 days 50% of the agreed bid. More than 10 day’s notice then no fee will be due UNLESS we have incurred any costs already. For example, non-returnable ferry bookings, hotel costs, tolls etc.

KEY WAITING / WAITING TIME / DELAYS

In general, once we have loaded our vans most customers already have the keys to the new property / storage. If for any reason they is a delay in the time from when we finish loading to the time we start unloading for this or any other reason the following rules apply. Our porters will take a lunch break for 1 hour, after this hour we charge waiting time. We charge this because this delay may cause us to be late on another job, late for a ferry or a hotel check in and we will have to pay our staff extra wages to cover time worked that we haven't charged you for within the accepted bid. £20 per hour for the 1st worker then £10 per hour per additional worker. This will be charged in 30m intervals to minimise any extra costs to yourself. If we have to wait to load/unload our vehicle or whilst collecting/delivering your item, we will wait up to 30 minutes. After this time additional waiting time will be charged in line with the amounts set out above.

ADDITIONAL CHARGES

We believe in no hidden charges which is why our profile sets out any extra costs you may incur. Please ensure your inventory (list of items to be moved) is 90% accurate. We know it's hard to get every last item on a list which is why we allow 10% leeway. If this then means your load takes up significant more space or requires a larger vehicle or an additional trip you agree to pay us any reasonable costs if requested. We will in the event you cannot pay try to arrange an alternative solution, like leaving something behind etc. In the event you refuse this help or cancel the job then you agree to pay any cancellation fees as set out above. If we have to cancel the job because of this, you agree to pay us any reasonable costs already incurred.

If we are asked to disconnect/reconnect appliances without prior agreement, you agree to pay us any reasonable costs. The same applies to dismantling and reassembling furniture. These services are provided for in the agreed bid should you notify us that you need these services.

Any additional reasonable costs/expense/losses that are incurred as a result of yourself or a 3rd party, then you agree to pay these fees.

Insurance

We will inform you if we know of any damages during your removal / delivery. It is your responsibility to inform us on the day of the job or delivery if you notice anything so our staff can notify us and we can submit any claims. We may agree to extend this time to seven days from the job ending as long as we receive a request in writing within 7 days of the job. Please ensure you check all goods on delivery. Any claim will have an excess of £100
